The lpg side channel multistage pump is a centrifugal pump specifically designed for "high pressure difference, low cavitation, high gas content" high-risk media such as liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). It mainly adopts a horizontal shaft + 6-stage / 8-stage impeller side-channel structure. Through mechanical seals (without cooling), it is adapted to the special working conditions of liquefied gas and is the core equipment for "safely transporting liquefied gas from storage tanks or tanker trucks to the terminal" in the petrochemical and gas storage and transportation scenarios.
Liquefied gas storage and transportation often encounter problems such as "large pressure differences and high liquid gas content (up to 50%)". Ordinary pumps are prone to "air cavitation and interruption of transportation". However, this type of multi-stage pump, through the pre-compression turbine technology, can reduce the inlet air scouring reserve (NPSH) to an extremely low level. Even in unfavorable suction conditions such as "low liquid level in storage tanks and high gas content", it can still achieve stable transportation.
Liquefied gas is a flammable and explosive medium. The pump body adopts an uncooled mechanical seal, which not only avoids the leakage risks that the cooling system may bring, but also can withstand the low temperature and high pressure characteristics of liquefied gas. At the same time, the horizontal shaft structure is suitable for the horizontal layout of tanker trucks and storage tanks, reducing safety hazards during installation and operation.
As a "necessary equipment" for the storage and transportation of liquefied gas, its core applications are concentrated in three types of scenarios:
Terminal filling: The steel cylinders of bottled LPG are filled precisely, with controlled flow and pressure;
Tank transfer: Liquid gas is extracted from underground tanks and tanker trucks, adapting to "long-distance, high-altitude difference" storage and transportation links;
Batch loading and unloading: The loading and unloading operations of liquefied gas tankers and transportation trailers, supporting the batch storage and transportation turnover of gas stations.
In the lpg industry chain, the core value of these pumps lies in "balancing efficiency and safety": On one hand, through multi-stage impellers and pre-compression technology, they achieve efficient transportation of high-gas-content and low-pressure-difference media; on the other hand, through adaptable seals and structural design, they avoid the leakage and cavitation risks that ordinary pumps encounter in high-risk media, making them indispensable and error-proof key equipment in gas stations and petrochemical storage and transportation processes.
