How to install the flow meter correctly? Ensure accuracy and extend the service life of the flow meter!
Basic Principle of Flow Meter
A fuel dispenser flow meter is an instrument used to measure the flow of liquid fuel. It uses the resistance or flow excitation effect of the liquid fuel on the flow meter when it flows through the flow meter to measure the flow.Mainly relying on the mechanical movement of impellers, pistons or gears, the flow rate is converted into the number of rotations through mechanical transmission, and the volume is finally calculated.
Preparation
Before using the flow meter, you need to prepare first, including purchasing the flow meter, selecting the appropriate measurement range and range, preparing threaded joints, sealing rings and pipes, etc.
Installing the flow meter
1. Determine the installation location of the fuel flow meter, generally near the oil tank or on the oil pipeline.
2. Check whether there are other pipes or parts around the installation location. If so, keep a certain distance to avoid mutual interference.
3. Connect the flow meter to the pipeline of the oil truck, and pay attention to the waterproof seal of the connection port.
4. According to the wiring instructions of the gasoline flow meter, correctly connect the power cord and signal line.
5.In the debugging software of the flow meter, set and calibrate the parameters to ensure the accuracy of the measurement results.
Installation steps
Positioning and direction
1.Observe the flow direction arrow on the fuel flow meter body to ensure that the installation direction is consistent with the oil flow direction.
2.Horizontal installation is best. If vertical installation is required, refer to the tilt angle allowed in the manual.
Pipeline connection
1.Clean the inlet and outlet threads and wrap the sealing tape (3-4 turns) to prevent the tape from entering the inner wall of the pipe.
2.Preliminary tightening of the interface by hand, and then lock it with a wrench (avoid over-tightening to cause the shell to crack).
Electrical connection
1.Connect the pulse signal line to the control main board according to the wiring diagram to ensure that the shielding layer is well grounded.
2.Check the waterproof performance of the plug to prevent moisture from invading the circuit.
Debugging and calibration
1. Open the pipeline valve and start the fluid, and pay attention to gradually adjust the size of the switch to avoid excessive.
2. Try different flow rates to determine the best measurement range and range.
3.Adjust parameters such as sensitivity and accuracy of the indicator or recorder.
Sealing test
After turning on the oil pump, check whether each interface is leaking, and replace the seal if necessary.
Static pressure test: Close the outlet valve and observe whether the pressure gauge is stable (maintain no pressure drop for 15 minutes).
Measurement calibration
Use a standard measuring instrument (such as a 20L standard metal measuring cylinder) for real liquid calibration.
Adjust the pulse coefficient on the main board to ensure that the indication error is within ±0.3% (refer to JJG 443-2015 verification regulations).
Software configuration
Enter the gasoline flow meter parameters (such as pulses/L, oil type) through the control panel.
Run the self-test program to check for sensor abnormalities or signal interference.
Usage tips
1. When using the flow meter, avoid high-speed flow or excessive vibration to avoid errors or damage.
2. Clean and maintain the fuel flow meter regularly to ensure its normal operation.
3.Pay attention to safety during operation to avoid dangers such as electric shock, scalding, and chemical poisoning.
4. After installation, actual operation test is required to observe whether the output of the flow meter is accurate and whether the installation is firm.
5. If long-term storage is required, a certain amount of cleaning medium should be introduced into the flow meter to prevent rust and corrosion of internal parts that affect service life.
6.During maintenance, attention should be paid to maintenance cycles and methods, and maintenance parts should be cleaned and replaced in a timely manner.
Precautions
Anti-static measures:Use explosion-proof tools during installation and connect the ground wire to eliminate static electricity.
Avoid idling:Before starting the machine for the first time, make sure the pipeline is filled with oil to prevent dry grinding of the flow meter impeller.
Regular maintenance:Clean the filter every six months and check the wear of the impeller.Check the elasticity of the seal in extreme temperatures to prevent low-temperature brittle cracking or high-temperature aging.
Troubleshooting of common problems
1.Large error: Check for filter blockage, impeller jamming or signal interference.
2.No signal output: Check the power supply voltage and whether the wiring terminals are loose.
3.Abnormal sound/vibration: Check for cavitation or insufficient pipe support.
In short, the flow meter is a very practical instrument that can accurately measure the flow of fluids and provide important technical support for industrial production, environmental protection and other fields. I hope this article can help you understand the basic principles and usage of flow meters and provide assistance for your work.
