How can professional equipment safely "relay" liquefied gas?
When pipeline gas cannot be accessed in remote areas, filling household gas tanks with mobile LPG tanker trucks and fixed pumps is an important method for emergency energy supply. The LPG Transfer Pump for Cylinder and Tank, due to its ability to withstand low temperatures (-32℃), medium to high flow rate (45L/min), and ease of maintenance, has become one of the ideal devices for this scenario.
The following is the flowchart of the system setup process. (requires certification for operation)

The golden rule of safe filling
The golden rule for safe filling of gold is as follows: Firstly, the residual pressure of the gas cylinder before filling must be greater than 0.05 MPa (to prevent air from mixing and forming an explosive substance), and the detection of the static electricity grounding resistance must be ≤ 100 Ω; Secondly, during filling, the flow rate must be controlled to be < 0.5 m/s to avoid static electricity accumulation, and real-time monitoring is required to stop immediately if the tank temperature exceeds 40℃; Finally, after filling, a pressure retention and leak detection test is conducted. Soap water is applied to all interfaces to check if there are any bubbles, and the residual liquid from the hose needs to be recovered. Direct discharge is prohibited.
Why are personal operations strictly prohibited?
Here, we divide it into two levels, namely the legal level and the technical level.
(1)Legal aspect
In China's "Gas Management Regulations", it is clearly stipulated that for LPG filling operations, a special equipment operator certificate (R2) and a gas operation license are required to carry out this procedure.
(2)Technical aspect
Most household gas tanks lack the automatic cut-off valve at 80% liquid level. After being overfilled, the temperature rises by 1℃ for every liter and the pressure surges by 2 MPa! Therefore, improper technical operation can lead to very serious consequences. The mobile liquefied gas tank is like a mobile bomb. Non-professionals should not operate it!
A news report covered an accident caused by unauthorized charging: Analysis of a private charging accident in a certain area in 2022: 90% were caused by static electricity (Source: NFPA Gas Safety Annual Report).
So this is not joking!
Industry Secret Knowledge: The "suspended impeller" design of the LPG Transfer Pump for Cylinder and Tank actually employs a fully enclosed double-level explosion-proof motor with mechanical seals. However, if it fails the explosion-proof test, the sparks from the brush during operation remain a major hazard. Safe filling requires always trusting professional expertise.
