Wenzhou Supertech Machine Co.,Ltd., a professional manufacturer and reliable supplier of LPG handling equipment, presents its LPG pump for cylinder – an ideal solution for volatile liquid transfer and cylinder filling. Engineered with ductile iron components, floating impeller design, and tool-free maintenance access, this regenerative turbine pump addresses the unique challenges of pumping LP-Gas, ammonia, and similar low-lubricity fluids. With rotatable nozzles, integrated bypass and gauge connections, and a non-contacting impeller that minimizes wear, the LPG pump for cylinder delivers long-term durability, operational simplicity, and consistent performance in demanding industrial applications.
The LPG pump for cylinder is a regenerative turbine pump specifically designed by Wenzhou Supertech Machine Co., Ltd. for LPG cylinder filling and volatile liquid transfer. Pumping volatile liquids is one of the most challenging tasks in the industrial field, requiring special attention to design, manufacturing, installation, and operation. This pump operates on the regenerative turbine principle: liquid enters through the inlet nozzle and flows through the passageways on both sides of the impeller (the rotating element). As the impeller rotates, the liquid is constantly recirculated between the vanes (or teeth) and the passageways, making a complete revolution inside the pump casing before being discharged through the outlet nozzle. The impeller is the only moving part and does not contact the pump casing. As a result, when pumping LP-Gas, ammonia, and other volatile liquids with little to no lubricating qualities, impeller wear is minimal, ensuring long-term stable and reliable operation. As differential pressure (the difference between inlet and outlet pressure) increases, the horsepower required to drive the pump increases while the capacity decreases. The bypass system allows users to flexibly adjust the operating condition.

Structural Feature
1.Robust and Pressure-Resistant: All parts under liquid pressure are made of ductile iron, a metal with strength comparable to steel, ensuring safety and durability during long-term high-pressure operation.
2.Extremely Easy Maintenance: The impeller floats on the shaft, and the mechanical seal assembly can be replaced without disturbing the piping or driver. No special tools are required for either replacement, significantly reducing downtime and maintenance costs. This makes the LPG pump for cylinder particularly user-friendly in daily operations.
3.Flexible Installation and Adaptation: The pump nozzles can be rotated into four different positions, 90 degrees apart, accommodating various on-site piping layouts. A bypass connection with 3/4" pipe thread is located on the outlet nozzle, and pressure gauge connections with 1/4" pipe thread are provided on both the inlet and outlet nozzles, facilitating real-time monitoring and quick piping.
4.Low-Wear High-Efficiency Design: The non-contacting impeller structure combined with the regenerative turbine circulation makes this LPG pump for cylinder particularly suitable for handling highly volatile and low-lubricity media, extending component life while maintaining transfer efficiency.
Applications
1.LPG cylinder filling and unloading operations
2.Transfer, circulation, and tank-to-tank transfer of ammonia and other volatile liquids
3.Storage tank loading/unloading, bypass circulation systems, and underground/above-ground installation scenarios
4.Fluid handling processes in chemical, energy, gas supply, and related industries – where the LPG pump for cylinder proves its versatility and reliability
Operating Instructions
During initial startup of the LPG pump for cylinder, first close the shutoff valve at the end of the delivery hose, then open the storage tank bottom shutoff valve and the bypass system shutoff valve. Check that the motor voltage is correct, start the pump, and circulate liquid through the bypass system. Adjust the bypass valve until the pressure gauge reading is nearly the same as it was prior to starting the pump, and the pump is ready for normal operation.
