A reporter learned from the coalbed methane company that, focusing on the pain points and difficulties in coal-rock gas development, the company has accelerated the iterative upgrading of lifting technologies. It has innovatively applied two lifting supporting technologies — the hydraulic rodless pump and the "one-to-two" hydraulic pumping unit — successfully breaking through traditional extraction bottlenecks and achieving multiple results in improved development quality, reduced energy consumption, and enhanced economic benefits.

To address the lifting and dewatering challenges in coal-rock gas wells in the Daji Gas Field, the coalbed methane company has adopted a centralized power supply model using surface hydraulic pump stations and implemented the "one-to-two" synchronous swabbing and dewatering process, which can simultaneously drive two single wells efficiently. This technology is precisely adapted to the extraction conditions of coal-rock gas wells in the gas field, with comprehensive performance significantly surpassing that of conventional beam pumping units and jet pump technologies. Since being applied to two coal-rock gas wells at the Jishen 15-6 pad, the energy consumption per well has been reduced by 12% compared to conventional beam units, while the daily gas production per well has increased by 11,000 cubic meters.

On the basis of fully summarizing the successful experience in mid-to-shallow coalbed methane development, the coalbed methane company systematically reviewed and analyzed the root causes of downhole failures in coal-rock gas wells in the "Two Chuan" region (referring to Sichuan and Chongqing areas). Focusing on complex production conditions such as low liquid production, high gas-liquid ratio, and high impurity content, the company innovatively applied the hydraulic rodless pump lifting process, while simultaneously taking measures such as installing gas anchors and optimizing surface equipment, providing strong support for low-cost development of coal-rock gas wells. Among these, the pump setting depth of Well Gao 1-3 Xiang 3 exceeds 2,600 meters, and the pump inspection cycle has been extended by 518 days, achieving energy savings of 95% and 80% compared to conventional gas lift and jet pump dewatering processes, respectively.
