The M Series pipeline flow control system is a metering solution designed for high-flow refueling and fuel transfer pipelines. This flow meter contains a fluid chamber with an obstructing shaft and two displacing shafts rotating in sync with matching gears. Fluid enters the chamber, the obstructing shaft rotates under pressure, the two displacing shafts follow, and fluid passes through to the outlet – converting linear flow into rotary motion. The 4 inch liquid control flow meter measures flow based on obstructing shaft rotation, transmitted via counter or pulse signal to a computer terminal.

The 4 inch liquid control flow meter must comply with all safety, ventilation, fire protection, and electrical standards. Piping must be cleaned before installation. Mount the meter on a stable platform—not directly on piping—to avoid distortion from thermal expansion or flange stress. Install a strainer upstream and a vertical air eliminator at the inlet if needed. During startup, fill the meter slowly to remove air, keep the outlet valve closed until the counter rotates, then open fully after liquid flows through. Never run the meter dry for over five minutes; stay within rated flow range. Prevent hydraulic shock and thermal expansion with proper valve closure rates and functional relief valves. Do not use the meter when air, bubbles, or vapor are present in the flow path.
